just noticed...

I just noticed, a prayer request posted . He is in "FULL CLEAN MODE"... ... ...
That is how he deals with stuff and while I enjoy a clean house, I do not enjoy watching my sweet heart worry like this. It is 11:30 p.m. we got home from bible study and found some 'not good news' on our front door. He has managed to clean my kitchen spotless, clean the bathroom, he is washing and hanging, cleaned our bedroom and I am not sure what else is clean!

I just heard our front door open- it is so cold outside and he just stepped out onto our front porch.

Dear Lord, I pray that YOU give Steve the courage that he needs right now. We trust you will see us through. You are our Faithful Provider.

So, these thoughts keep racing through my mind... ... ...
-Are we being punished?
-I'm tired!
-Why?
-When will this drought/curse/ punishment end?
-People must be tired of praying for us or hearing us ask for prayer.

- how much longer?
- when this is passed, what will we have learned?
- God is in control.
-It's CHRISTMAS season...

  1. Just checking in on before I go to bed and found your latest entry. So sad for you and all that you are going through. I can see your deep trust in God through your pain. God made us and that includes the emotions that we have so I don't think it comes as any surprise to Him to see/hear us question Him and what He is doing in our lives. The problem comes if we shake our fist in God's face and walk away. I believe that He wants us to question and cry out to Him because it is only when we are at the end of ourselves that He can step in. I do not know what He has planned for you and your precious family - I wish I could take away some of the hurt and say that everything will work out okay. Unfortunately I do not have that power but I do know the One who holds you in the palm of His hand. And I know that you know Him to so keep on trusting and seeking Him.
"What then shall we say to these things: If God is for us, who is against us? He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things? Who will bring a charge against God's elect: God is the one who justifies, who is the one who condemns? Christ Jesus is He who died, yes, rather who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ...
But in all these things we overwhelmingly conquer through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death, nor life nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, not things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:31-39
Will be praying for you my "blogging" friend,

  2. Marie - Job too appeared to have lost everything and everyone. Keep your faith. One of the things I enjoy most about being a Christian is that I do not need to ask 'Why?' God knows and I need to rely on Him. So much easier to say when things are going well. Praying.....

  4. "Along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them." Isaiah 42:16

Marie, I am praying for you and Steve, asking the Lord to get you through this rough place, one day at a time. I am praying for jobs to break through for both of you and for your hearts to be protected as they continue to heal. You are a sweet helpmate to him during this time. Trust in the Lord, encourage Steve and thank him for the wonderful clean house that his distress produces.:) Gotta love that!
Praying for all that you need during this time to be provided for you.

    Love, Laurie in Ca.
